The Wedding Journey - KL Photo Shoot Preview

Though there was a big commotion in the studio, we still like our photographer Ah Seng. Marcus especially likes him, coz he was using a Canon camere. LOL. We were only able to view some pics from his camera and we really like it. We will just have to wait for the photo selection on 6/8!

Here are some pics which is taken from camera by Ah Seng.

The Wedding Journey - KL Photo Shoot

Whilst we know that a pre-wedding photoshoot is very important and the bride will do almost anything and I repeat ANYTHING to make sure that the shoot is perfect, there are some things unavoidable which may cause the photoshoot to turn out bad.....
On 26th July 2011, we were scheduled for our photoshoot with Touch Collection and we went for our fitting weeks before. It went on rather smoothly in the morning although the make up artist was slightly late, but nevertheless did a grat job by covering my bare face with some fantastic make up tricks. I had a total of 5 dresses (including 1 on my own), 3 for studio shots and 2 for outdoor.
As I was changing into my 3rd dress for the day,I realised that my wedding gown for the outdoor shoot was missing!!! I calmly asked the representatives there and they insist that the other wedding gown which was hanging in the fitting room was mine. *Gasps*. I have never seen that dress before and I know that I would not choose a dress of that design. The girl then showed me the record of the dress against my record and it was written 37W. I insisted that is not mine and said that the other bride would have probably wore my gown coz I remembered clearly seeing it in the morning (FYI, there are 3 couples for the shoot on that day, but each with a separate photographer). They then took out the other bride's record and it was recorded 37W too!!! It seems that they her dress is from Klang and mine is from the SS2 branch. So, now it is clear that they made a mistake and the other bride is doing her outdoor shots already!
Conclusion: After a mere 10 mins of commotion, the girl still insists that the dress hanging in the fitting room is mine and I might have forgotten how it looks like, according to her it happens many times with her other customers! I was seriously pissed but did not show my temper coz I really like my original gown and was looking forward to it. Hence, we waited for the bride to come back from her shot and they did a quick "wash" and alteration to the gown before we head out to Putrajaya.

P:S: The normal me would have screamed at the sales girl but I was very patient that day in order not to spoil the mood for the wedding shoot. So, bride's tolerance can be quite high in order for everything to be perfect

Grand Millenium Buffet

Eating out has always been a joy but it just burned a hole in our pockets. Thanks to various deals websites that we've encountered, and I have to say that some are pretty decent, we do frequent restaurants out more often now.
Our recent feast was in Grand Millenium where we bought the voucher from www.everyday.com.my for RM49 for 1 person's buffet. The selection was only mediocre for a 5 star hotel and the services was rather bad with slow service in cleaning the table and slow in refilling the food.
The steal for that night was that the pizza chef allow me to choose my own pizza ingredient and made a whole pizza for me.

Overall rating: Average. Value for money only if it's a deal. For full price, I can say forget about it.

It can be tiring and frustrating at times planning for a wedding. Listening to songs do help ease the tension. Here is 1 of my favourite.

Our Perfect Moment - Gallery 3

We want to live our lives happily ever after

The Wedding Journey - The Unexpected Expenses

Yes yes, you would think that after settling the Budget all your expenses for the wedding will be settled. But there are tons of unexpected expenses that happened along the way so please be prepared for these expenses in advance if you are planning for a wedding.

For the ladies especially, the expenses tend to be higher. The facial, the treatments, the mani and pedicure, shoes, casual dresses. You name it we've got it.

Though we do frequent the beauty salon but 6 months before the wedding, we need to double the frequency so that we can maintain the skin condition in a good manner. As for me, I've got back treatments to deal with which I need to go once in every 3 weeks. Then, there is hair treatment to avoid split ends and to keep your hair healthy. Though I dont go to the salon that often, but I buying the Kerastase hair treatment to do at home can be quite costly as well.

Aside from that, there is the mani and pedicure, before the wedding shoot and to go on and off to keep your nails looking good when people look at your ring. There is the scrub that you need to do at home to keep your skin looking good and the constant spa and massages to destress from all the wedding planning.

As for me, I spent quite a bit in the dresses for my Bangkok photoshoot and recently bought a new dress for the photoshoot in KL. Well, all in all...the list goes on and thank god for the the deals website which managed to keep my cost at the minimal.

Our Perfect Moment - Gallery 2

We feel completely at peace and serene with the surrounding

The Wedding Journey - Gown & Suit Fitting

This weekend was somewhat about our Wedding Attire. On Friday, we went for Gown Fitting in Touch Collection in PJ SS2 where we will be having our photo shoot end of the month (Finally!), but had to resort to taking 1 day leave for the photo shoot.
After my frustrations on my last post about the Bridal House, I was quite satisfied with this time visit to the Bridal House during my gown fitting. I am given a choice of 7 gowns (inclusive of wedding + night gown) for both my photo shoot + actual day. Hence I can opt to have photo shoot with 5 gowns and 2 for my actual day. But I only choose 4 gowns for photo shoot + 1 Casual outfit on my own and will be taking 3 gowns for my Actual Day (I actually dont think I need that many gowns - but well better more than less) and managed to book a 'Kua" for the actual day as well as they only have 1 Kua in the whole Bridal House! The dresses are quite pretty though not many are too my style due to my 'wonderful height". But all in all, the dresses are OK and I hope the photos will turn out to be good.

On Saturday, Marcus went for his Suit Fitting in Million Dollar located in Pertama Complex. Honestly, I was quite skeptical at first to have his suit made there but the fitting shows that their work is really not too bad. So we are quite excited to wait for the Suit to be ready in time for our photo shoot.
