Marcus Birthday Celebration- Part 2

For every occasion there are bound to be double happiness. The same goes to Marcus's birthday this year. His family celebrated his birthday with him this year in Unique Seafood Restaurant and indulged in only the finest seafood!

Man, the dinner was truly scrumptious and delicious and full of cholesterol! It was one of the best Chinese Seafood dinner that we ever had.

The Wedding Journey - Wedding Band/Ring- Part 2

We have finally collected our wedding bands from Suens/Love Diamond today with the perfect size and fitting. I really love the band as we really search high and low for these perfect bands.
Check out the contrast in size!

Marcus Birthday Celebration

I celebrated Marcus's early birthday with him in Fukuya along Jalan Delima this year. He was delighted when I told him that I will be bringing him to a Japanese restaurant. It's been such a long time since we went around town tasting new restaurants and this has certainly brought back sweet memories to us.
We ordered the Sushii Kaizeki Set Dinner, Fresh Scallop Sashimi, Salmon Belly Sashimi, Deep Fried Salmon Skin and Nabaeyaki Udon for dinner. The fresh food tatsed juicy and yummy however the cooked food was only mediocre.

The fresh seafood for the night which we ordered the scallop.

The Wedding Journey - Frustrations Epi 2

In deciding a Bridal House was really a hectic choice at the beginning of the wedding planning but now, deciding on a date for gown fitting, photo taking and even location to take photos is taking a toll on us. When we signed up for our Bridal Package on 2nd January 2011, they were having a new year promotion hence the package was only for RM1,111. It was really cheap and well worth it! Happy as we were as a newly engaged couple to found this deal, we quickly signed on this deal (of course with alot of pushing/hard selling moments from the sales girl).
The Touch Collection promised us that they will be able to find a gown of my dreams as they have 13 other subsidiaries under the Touch Group. The initial photo shooting date should be in June. Thereafter I went to the bridal house at least 3-4 times over the last few months to decide a date for my photoshoot but E-Yan (the lady who service us) told us that it is still early and she will call me when the time draws closer.
As we slide into the month of June, I got agitated and called her.......Guess what? All the June bookings/slots are fully booked and she wants me to do my photoshoot in July (because it was the Chinese Ghost Festival hence there was no booking!). I was truly dissapointed with their service and frustrated with her. I would definitely not be doing my photoshoot in that month. I suggested August and she said it is too late coz it will normally take about 4 months to complete a wedding album. I am truly upset!

The Wedding Journey - Wedding Band/Ring- Part 1

We've finally decided on a wedding band. It was rather difficult for us to choose as our rings sizes are in two extreme end. My ring size is 7 whereas Marcus's ring size is 24. We went into many shops in town but there isnt a place that has a pair of rings which both of us like except for Cartier. But the only problem with that pair of ring is that my sis and bro in law has it as well.

After a loooooong search, we finally decided to check out Suen in Bangsar and it turned out that they actually custom made ring. Finally we've found a perfect pair! Hope it will turn out perfect for our lifelong commitment to each other. A wedding band actually means a lot to us as it signifies our bond and commitment for each other throughout our marriage. We would not settle for a less than perfect pair!

The Wedding Journey - Bridal Shoes (Part 2)

Finally! My bridal shoes are ready! Well, not exactly that long coz I only waited for about 3 weeks. If you remember vaguely on what I wrote previously in my earlier entry on my blog - Bridal Shoes (Part1), then you will be truly surprised on how a simple sketch can turn into such a beautiful pair of shoes!

Truly satisfied and Kudos to Raymond Wong. Definitely going back for a 2nd pair of shoes!

Busy Weekend Ahead

When we first started planning our wedding back in January we have devoted all our weekends for the rest of the year to prepare for our wedding tasks.
I planned ahead on our schedule to strike a balance between wedding prep and just spending time together for the both of us. Rest of our times are for family and friends as well. I would say it started off quite smoothly but the recent weekends had been more hectic than others as the date is drawing closer.

This weekend is quite exciting as we will be able to achieve quite a number of things.

Sat afternoon: Collection of our Wedding Bands.

Sat evening: Deliveryl of new shoe closet.

Sun afternoon: Delivery of my wedding shoes.

Hope we can get everything right on schedule so we don't have to scramble all over during the last 2 months before the wedding.

The Wedding Journey - Frustrations Epi 1

Well, as most of the people know, planning for a wedding isnt really that easy unless you are not fussy, have an unlimited budget or simply dont have time to do it. There tend to be lots of frustrations when you needed things to sail smoothly.

Frustration No 1 - Last Minute Pulled Out from My Hairdresser
To be fair to her, it wasnt really her fault. My hairdresser is pregnant and her due date is in November. Guess what? Same month as my wedding!! To backtrack a bit, I actually hired a friend (someone that I know through the Cosmetic counter but have gradually turned into a friend of mine) to be my makeup artist. Since she doesnt know hairdos, she have kindly asked someone else to do it for me. I just need to pay her a lumpsum of money and she will divide it with the hairdresser.
So now that my current hairdresser (whom I have not met to date) is pregnant, we are searching high and low for another 1. Urgh!!! Frustrated.
